Engagement Ring Styles! | Philadelphia Jeweler Breaks Down Most Popular Engagement Ring Styles

One of the most frequently asked questions I get is: What is the most popular engagement ring style? or Which engagement ring style do you think would be right for me? So I have decided to dedicate this post to creating a list of the most popular engagement ring styles! Designing a custom ring should reflect your personal style and should stay cohesive with your everyday look. Here are the most popular styles.

Round or Solitaire Rings

When you envision a typical classic engagement ring, you probably think of a round shaped ring. Solitaire shaped rings are probably the most popular style of engagement ring, and something that I definitely create a lot of. Although the center stone is round and pretty straight forward, there are plenty of ways that you can still make a unique round ring. Change up the metal, add diamonds on the band, make it your own! This style is truly timeless.

Oval Shaped Rings

Oval shaped rings are another classic. A great way to make an oval shaped ring is to make it a three stone ring with side stones both sides of the center stone. Oval stones will often appear a bit bigger then they actually are which is a really nice quality. Oval shaped rings are timeless and will look great prong or bezel set.

Pear Shaped Rings

Pear shaped rings are stunning. This shape is good for the gal who wants a diamond halo and likes a lot of diamonds! A majority of the time when I make a pear shaped ring my client always wants a halo included. Pear shaped rings are super modern and are definitely getting more and more popular! Pair your pear shaped ring with a diamond and halo and thin band and you'll have the most stylish engagement ring in town.

Cushion Cut Rings

I love a good cushion cut ring! This is another super popular style. This particular ring is cushion cut, but the center stone is a rose cut black diamond. Cushion cut rings are great because they look good both prong and bezel set, but will pair well with a diamond halo like the ring above. Cushion cut rings are great for the classic girl who wants a bit of a modern touch worked into her style. Add a braided band for extra character like the band pictured above.

The styles listed above are only scratching the surface in terms of what types of engagement ring designs we can do. Whether you want something extremely unique or you want a gemstone engagement ring, we can help make your vision come to life!
